The balmy sounds of aloha melt the winter chill when award winning Hawaiian musicians kick off the holiday season with their Hawaiian Holiday Concert!
The Hawaiian Holiday Concert blends heart-warming stories of aloha, hula, and traditional Hawaiian Holiday songs as well as Holiday standardsAs the Bay Area’s premier female artist in Traditional/Contemporary Hawaiian music for more than a decade, *Faith Ako* has long graced the West Coast with her versatile voice. She won two Hawaiian Music Awards for her first album Kukahi, and her second album, Papaku Bring It Home, earned Faith a Hawaiian genre Grammy entry in 2010.

Faith’s new album, *“Kulaiwi”,* My Beloved Homeland, cd released 9/6, a virtual sold out show to the long awaited fans of the famous Wine Country. Faith Ako, a longtime resident of Northern California, has been performing and preserving Hawaiian Music for more than a decade. She has brought her deep soul tones and island blends to appreciative audiences throughout Sonoma County, the greater Bay Area, Southern California, and her home state of Hawai’i.

*Steven Espaniola *is a multi-instrumentalist Hawaiian artist specializing in leo ki’e ki’e or Hawaiian falsetto singing. Originally from Aliamanu on the island of O’ahu, he now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been a longtime mainstay in the Bay Area Hawaiian music scene. He has released two critically acclaimed CD’s and won the coveted “New Artist of the Year” award at the Hawai’i Music Awards in 2006.

His latest release entitled* “**Ho’omaopopo”* (to understand) produced by über-producer Dave Tucciarone, instantly transports the listener to Hawai’i with lush instrumentation, soaring falsetto vocals and a mix of old standards and modern originals. It is sure to become an instant classic and favorite in every Hawaiian music collection!

*Patrick Landeza*, Hawaiian slack key guitarist extraordinaire, comes to Napa fresh on the heels of receiving Hawaiian music’s highest honor, the 2013 Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Slack Key Album of the Year with his latest release *“Slack Key Huaka`i” *(Slack Key Journey*)*. He is the first musician based on the mainland to win this award, informally known as the Hawaiian Grammy. He also won the 2010 Hawaii Music Award for Slack Key album of the year.

A musician, composer, and producer, Patrick is a leading exponent of ki ho’alu, the Hawaiian slack key guitar style that Hawaiian cowboys developed in the 19th century when they loosened – or “slacked” – their guitar strings for a lower, more resonant sound. Born and raised in Berkeley to Hawaii-born parents, Landeza studied slack key from masters like Cyril Pahinui, George Kuo, Ray Kane, and Dennis Kamakahi. Patrick is not only one of the top slack key performers in the world, he is also a musical bridge between Hawaii and California.  In 2011, Landeza was a featured performer at NYC’s Carnegie Hall as a member of Listen for Life’s “Power of 8”, a world music concert for peace.
